HISTORY OF HANBY HOUSE

The Hanby House is owned by the Ohio History Connection and managed by the Westerville Historical Society. The house museum is furnished with items depicting the lifestyle of a family of modest means in the 1850s. Home to William Hanby and his family, the dwelling is important because of its representation of the social, moral, educational, and artistic fabric of Westerville, Otterbein University and Ohio.
