Westerville’s State Street…
… business district is the heart of the community. The roadway is part of the 3-C Highway which connected Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati. The district with 57 contributing structures was listed on the National Register of Historic Districts in June of 2019. The Stoner stagecoach stop and inn built in 1852 is the oldest structure in the district. Other structures of note are the Weyant Block, Holmes Hotel and Masonic Lodge. Uptown Westerville Inc. was the entity responsible for making application for the historic designation.
